Director of Client Care
Alex
Alex became part of the TVH team in 2013 and took a leadership position with the Client-Care Team in 2014. In 2010, Alex graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a degree in Biology. Prior to joining Tidewater, she lived and worked on a large horse farm owned by two veterinarians where she gained experience with the owners’ personal menagerie of cows, goats, sheep, and pigs. Alex has a passion for the outdoors and spends her downtime in her garden, going on walks, and camping. Most of all, she loves spending as much time as possible with her husband and young son.

Director of Technicians
Lexa
Lexa has been working at TVH as a veterinary technician since 2006. In 2019 she accepted the position as Lead to this great group of Technicians. Lexa enjoys that every day is an adventure; no day is like the day before. She loves the challenges, the hard work, and all the furry friends that walk in the door. On the weekends, Lexa spends time with her husband, Don, their 5 year old golden retriever, Karma, and their two cats, Brennan and Tubbs.

Inventory Manager
Misty
Misty returned to Tidewater Veterinary Hospital in November 2022 as our Inventory Manager. She previously worked as a Client Care Coordinator in 2017. Misty grew up in Ohio on a small farm with a variety of animals. In her spare time, she enjoys reading a good book, gardening, camping, and spending time with family and friends. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her husband, her two boys, daughter-in-law and her two amazing grandkids!

Practice Manager
Sarah Grandstaff, SHRM-CP
Sarah joined the Tidewater Veterinary Hospital staff in 2011 after being a client for two decades. With a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management and Professional Certification with SHRM, she values the compassion and respect, that has been longstanding at TVH, for the pets, their owners, co-workers and peers. Experienced as a strategic business developer from small to corporate organizations, Sarah embraces the TVH organic business culture as refreshing and inspiring. Her role is to help leverage the most personalized, highest-quality and affordable healthcare to animals, large and small. Sarah enjoys her horse and dog mini-farm, cat who acts more like a dog, hiking, skiing with friends and family, and volunteering in the community.

Client-Account Managers
Tammie, Senior Account Manager
Tammie’s lifetime dream to work with animals was fulfilled in January 2017 when she became part of the TVH team. In the spring of 2023 Tammie accepted the position of our Accounts Manager! She has 3 children and 4 amazing grandchildren. Tammie enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking and working in her yard.

Corrine, Account Manager
Corinne re-joined Tidewater in January of 2023 after stepping away in 2014 to take time off to grow her family. She has always enjoyed everything about animals and a job that is based on taking care of them is a bonus. She is now working remotely as one of our Account Managers. In her time off she enjoys adventures with her husband and two children.
