Sharps Disposal Assistance for Personal Use Only and “Personal Use” includes your pets!

When considering a container for disposing of used lancets, needles, and sharps, choose a sturdy, opaque, leak-resistant container that will remain upright during use. Water and soda bottles are not strong enough to contain sharps. Containers must have a tight-fitting, puncture-resistant lid that is sealed with duct tape when about 3/4 full. Before disposal, seal it with duct tape and mark it with big, waterproof letters: “DO NOT RECYCLE.”

Now, where does the container go? This is where community guidelines arise.
