Hannah started working at TVH in 2005 as a veterinarian technician. Working in the veterinarian field since she was 15 years old, she has had a life-long love for animals. When she is not in the exam room or on the farm, she does her best to keep the hospital running behind the scenes. When asked about her experience at TVH, she says, “I couldn’t imagine working anywhere else. Great doctors, great co-workers, great clients, and super-great animals, most of the time (big smile).” Hannah is very passionate about our approach to patient-focused practical medicine that is affordable to the average pet owner, and our doctors constant drive to think outside-the-box for those difficult cases. Her husband Ben, a farrier, her pony- and mud-crazy children, Eli and Ada, horses, chickens, blue heelers, including Hank, guarantee that there is never a dull moment. Patients in the office might run into Hank, who holds dual position as scale greeter and food disposer.
Lexa has been working at TVH as a veterinary technician since 2006. She says, “Every day is an adventure; no day is like the day before.” She enjoys all the challenges, all the hard work, and all the furry friends that walk in the door. On the weekends, Lexa spends time with her family. She currently has a 5 year old golden retriever named “Taj Mahal”. She recently lost “Dreamer,” her golden retriever that stole her heart and four- legged best friend, to a long fight of lymphoma. That experience made her realize that her co-workers are a great support system.

Heather started working at TVH in 2009. She grew up in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, where she met and married her high school sweetheart. After traveling up and down the east coast over the course of her husband’s 20 year Navy career, the couple moved to Southern Maryland in 2003. He has since retired and they have decided to call St. Mary’s County their permanent home. She is a mom to 3 great kids, a golden retriever named Jack and a cat, Ellie. Her favorite day is a sunny Sunday afternoon filled with family and a Steelers game. The family work environment at Tidewater is a big part of why she loves her job as a Veterinary Technician. Heather enjoys caring for all patients large and small, unless of course, the case involves an eyeball!
